Weekly Report 08.02 - 08.08

1Offensive Player of the Week:
Che-Hsuan Lin. Lin hit a robust .435 as well as displaying his patient eye by taking 6 walks. He's now hiting .279 on the season with an outstanding .388 OBP. His lack of power is still somewhat troubling since he has only 2 HRs this season but power is often the last tool to develop and Lin is still young at 21. Scouting reports still rate his CF defense as top notch. He's still on track for a late 2011 or 2012 call up in Boston and if his power develops he can become a dynamic player.

Pitcher of the Week:
Sheng-An Kuo: Kuo has rebounded strongly from a poor June where he posted a 10.38 ERA. His ERA in his past 10 outings stands at 1.93. Aside from his awful June, Kuo has adapted well in his first year in the bullpen. If he can keep up this kind of performance at the higher levels next year he still may have an outside shot at cracking a major league roster.

Weekly Report 06.15 - 06.21

1Player of the week: Ching-Lung Lo. Lo struck out 5 in 6.2 innings of relief work. He has a solid 2.91 ERA so far this season. His strikeout total had been low, however, his strong showing this week in that department is a welcome sight.

Weekly Report 06.06 - 06.12

3
Players of the week:Chih-Hsien Chiang. Chiang had a terrific week as he busted out of a season long slump with a .375 average this week and flashing some power with 1 2B, 1 3B, and a HR. He'll need to keep up this type of production if he hopes to salvage his season.

Weekly Report 05.30 - 06.05

1Hot player: Chun-Hsiu Chen
With another monster week (.444/.524/.778) Chen's season line currently sits at .345/.410/.586. He should expect to be promoted to high A soon. For someone who started the season off the Indians' top 30 prospects list, he's definitely earned consideration as one of their best prospects.
