Player of the week: Ching-Lung Lo. Lo struck out 5 in 6.2 innings of relief work. He has a solid 2.91 ERA so far this season. His strikeout total had been low, however, his strong showing this week in that department is a welcome sight.
Downward trend: Sheng-An Kuo. After cruising along for most of the season with an ERA under 3, Kuo has been shelled in his last few games. His ERA has jumped to 4.91 primarily due to 7 HRs in only 36.2 innings. While his SO and BB numbers are decent Kuo needs to keep his pitches down to avoid further home run trouble.
Interesting stat: Wang-Wei Lin has a terrific 26 walks in 152 at-bats. Those are numbers typically of a power hitter. However, he needs to desperately increase his batting average and slugging percentage. He's barely hitting .200 on the season with only 2 extra base hits.
